Anomalies and Constraints: Can Clairvoyance, Precognition, and Psychokinesis Be Accommodated within Known Physics?

Richard Shoup, Boundary Institute, Los Altos, California

In this paper, we consider the unnecessarily antagonistic relationship between anomalies such as psychic phenomena ("Psi") and theoretical physics. Characteristics of Psi are discussed along with categories of possible explanation and mechanisms. A hypothetical Psi experiment is created to explore the implications of random processes in which constraints are present, one of which may be "on the future". A simple rotation of the experiment diagram suggests nonlocality phenomena in quantum physics. A revision of our thinking about the concepts of causality and randomness are argued as key to a deeper understanding of Psi and the quantum realm in general.

Keywords: psi, physics of psi, physics, time, causality, relation, correlation, random number generator (RNG), randomness, quantum, Einstein, Podolsky, Rosen experiment (EPR), Bell's inequality
