James W. Flynn was in the Everglades with his dogs when he spotted a UFO. He sped toward it in his swamp buggy. As he approached it neared the ground and hovered. Eventually, he was within 200 yards. The object was cone shaped, 25 feet in diameter and metallic. It had 4 tiers of windows. It made a sound like a diesel generator, and a high pitched sound bothered his dogs. He felt a strong wind coming from it. Then a flash of light emanated from a lower window and struck him. He had 24 hours of missing time. A day later he could only see from one eye. Later in the hospital he had one day when he became numb and lost his hearing. The object left a 72 foot diameter burned area.

Later he found that his badly swollen finger, caused by an alligator bite, was healed.
