Student Members of the Society for Scientific Exploration gather on Zoom every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2pm EST for learning and networking. Our upcoming July 14th meeting (2pm EST), will be an open discussion with guests Imants Barušs, Morris Freedman, and Julia Mossbridge on the topic of "Bridging to the Mainstream". After a brief ice-breaking activity and a round of short introductions, Barušs, Freedman, and Mossbridge will field our Aspiring Explorers' questions.

Imants Barušs is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at King’s University College and an Adjunct Research Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Western University. With expertise in Consciousness Studies, Professor Barušs teaches courses about consciousness and altered states of consciousness.

Julia Mossbridge is the executive director of The Institute for Love and Time (TILT) a fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and an associated professor in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her focus is on teaching and learning about love and time, and she pursues this focus by speaking about love and time, leading related projects, conducting research, and writing books and articles.

Morris Freedman is a professor in the Department of Medicine (Neurology), University of Toronto, and Head of the Division of Neurology and Medical Director, Cognition and Behaviour, at Baycrest Health Sciences. Freedman is a mainstream neurologist who does both clinical and research work focused on dementia in the field of behavioral neurology. He has a strong interest in psi and has built on his background and knowledge in neurology to develop an innovative approach to studying psi and the brain.
