GCSE Pass Levels Creating Confusion for University Admissions

Experts are warning that confusion might get created on university admissions due to changes in GCSE exam. These changes can create two different pass grades for university admissions.
Several universities have minimum entry grades at GCSE level like a C grade pass for maths and English. But now GCSE is switching to numerical grades ranging from 9 to 1. And the uncertainty is because of the fact that both 4 and 5 are officially declared as pass grades. Today universities are facing confusion since they are getting different pass grade equivalents. Experts like Deborah Streatfield are saying that both parents and students are confused and are asking for assistance about this topic. Even universities and their employees are facing the same situation. Students who would be taking their English and maths GCSE exams this year would be first who would be judged and ranked by numerical grades this summer. Even those who would be using some kind of coursework help UK would be ranked by these numerical ranks.
