Synopsis:

I talked about the application of linear algebra to the study of ancient Chinese Feng Shui scientifically years ago at a Maverick event. In recent years, together with other co-authors, I have studied the application of Feng Shui theories to the design of the main entrance of grand shopping malls and illustrated the concept by some real examples. A mathematical model was developed to facilitate the design process. Results were published in two papers, namely

In the talk, I shall first of all conduct a review on fundamental Feng Shui principles supporting the application, then present the mathematical model developed and discuss real examples that help to show how the new method may work.

Biography: 

Albert So obtained BSc(Eng), MPhil and PhD, all in electrical engineering from The University of Hong Kong. He has been a professor and professional engineer in building automation, HVAC system control and elevator engineering for decades. Besides that, his side hobbies include Ufology, paranormal phenomena and metaphysics such as ancient Chinese Feng Shui.
