Synopsis:

After my 9 year old son predicted his own accidental death (gave himself a going away party, left behind goodbye gifts and a sign telling us not to worry about him) associated with many paranormal events, I discovered that our story followed the screenwriter's formula to perfection. This led me to the realization that our perceived reality has a structure that can be seen in science, philosophy, psychology, and even spirituality. My presentation will demonstrate how useful this understanding can be.

Biography

Gregg Korbon enlisted in the army after high school and served as an artillery officer during the Vietnam era. He then attended Duke University and Duke University School of Medicine, specializing in anesthesiology and pain management. Dr. Korbon taught at Duke and the University of Virginia medical schools, entered private practice, and directed an outpatient surgery center.

Dr. Korbon has also had a long-standing interest in outdoor education and is a senior facilitator at the University of Virginia’s Poplar Ridge challenge course. He lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Central Virginia with his wife and children.
