Synopsis:

The Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE) is excited to have selected the next visionary Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the Journal of Scientific Exploration (JSE) who will start the editorial role by the 2027 Spring issue. The incoming EIC of JSE was formally introduced in the 44th Annual Conference of SSE, during the JSE/SSE Special Session in the evening of Thursday, June 18, 2026, over a short 15-minutes Q/A session. The in-coming EIC of JSE is Everton de Oliveira Maraldi, PHD.

With the formal introduction in the SSE2026 Conference, the incoming EIC will present a MAVERICK Talk to outline the full “MAVERICK” vision of the next chapter of frontier-science publication of the SSE. After ~30-minutes presentation, the incoming EIC will engage with the attendee for an enlightening Q/A session. Please bring your challenging questions to meet the incoming EIC of JSE to help shape the future of publication of frontier sciences. 

Biography:

Everton Maraldi, PHD, is a psychologist, researcher, and international leader in the scientific study of anomalous experiences and mental health. His work sits at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and spirituality, exploring phenomena such as altered states of consciousness, dissociation, mediumship/possession, and other anomalous phenomena reported across cultures. He serves as a Professor at the Post-Graduate Program in Medical Sciences of the D’Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR) in Brazil and a research associate at the Institute of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (IPq-HCFMUSP). He has previously held research positions at the University of Oxford and Coventry University in the UK. Everton also served as President of the Parapsychological Association (PA, United States).
